Country of origin: New Zealand

Study: Bachelor of Physiotherapy, University of Otago

Countries lived: NZ, Australia, Canada, UK (then back to Australia and back to the UK again!). What a fantastic experience this has been, I have been able to see how different towns and different clinics operate and all of it has helped to mould my unique mode of practice.

Hobbies: Sport! I call myself a jack of all trades, master of none - I grew up playing Soccer ( for the NZ U18), tennis, and waterskiing. I have played volleyball, done salsa dancing, triathlons, mountain biking, golf, and since moving back to the UK have taken up kitesurfing - although one would question why I would take this up in the UK and not sunny Australia...

Injuries: Many! Always a painful learning experience to be had but one that is great for shaping a good physiotherapist. Whenever anything significant happens I always make sure that I get myself to another health professional. For example, after breaking my arm and doing a full tear to one of the structural ligaments in the knee, I actually thought I would be doing my triathlon in four weeks.... #PutThePhysioHatBackOn

Family: One 'jack of all trades, master of them all' hubby and one hyperactive little girl! I treated a lot of pre-, and post partum women before having my little one, and I can tell you real life has definitely given me a new level of empathy and reality - apparently having a little human is actually rather tough!
