PHYSIOTHERAPY ASSESSMENTA thorough assessment is essential to forming the basis of a good treatment plan. Naturally, we will discuss the history of the injury, but we will also talk through the general day-to-day happenings in your life - such as your work or lifestyle - and this will help to build a good picture of what hidden pressures are on your body. Once we have this picture, and if we decide that physio is the way forward for you, then we can formulate a plan together 50 minute assessment: £75

FOLLOW ON TREATMENTTreatment can take many different forms, and our plan is likely to incorporate a few different elements. This may be release work (everyone's favourite!), exercises, or even onward referral if this is required. The one element which is the keystone to success, is how much you are willing to do to help your injury recover. Each session will likely contain a couple of exercises for you to take away and do at home 30 minute follow up: £60 55 minute follow up £75

PILATESPilates is a form of movement which focuses deeply on how you move. Guided by a trained professional, you can really learn what movement patterns your body has picked up - for better or for worse - and how to strengthen or retrain those patterns in order to create more optimal movement. Pregnancy specific pilates is a fantastic way to build and maintain exercise levels whilst waiting for your little arrival. You are likely to feel tight in places you never thought of, but at the same time you will find excessive movement in others. Pregnancy pilates differs somewhat to regular pilates as you have to take in to consideration these changes going on within your body, and ensure that you facilitate a positive pregnancy and birth experience, rather than inhibit it Post-Natal Pilates: Once your little bundle of joy has made it into this world you will need to devote some time (eek!) to getting yourself back into a place where you feel strong, 'together,' and physically able to cope with the new daily (and nightly) routine. The earlier you can start this the better, but we know that finding time without the little one is extremely challenging! To make things easier you can bring them along with you and tend to them if and when you need to. We can also help you to develop a set of exercises that you can do in the comfort of your own home, and (hopefully) involving your little one 1:1 55 minute: £60 2:1 55 minute: £30

MASSAGEMassage is a great tool to relax tissue, whether it be tightness from sports training and events, from pregnancy, or protective tightness after surgery. There are different massage techniques that we use, such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, friction, or lymphatic drainage. 55 minute: £75

DRY NEEDLINGDry needling is similar to, and often confused with, acupuncture. Both techniques use the same needles, but in a very different way. Acupuncturists will insert the needle along Chinese meridian, or energy, lines within the body, whereas with dry needling the needles are inserted into tight bands of tissue, similar to where a therapist might concentrate their deep tissue massage. Dry needling can be used to help relax muscle or fascia, or alternatively to intentionally stir up an acute inflammatory reaction.

TAPINGAs with massage there are different forms of taping that we can draw upon depending on the needs of your condition. More commonly recognised would be rigid taping, which is often used to limit movement of a joint, or kinisiotaping, which uses flexible tape with lots of fun colours! 20 minutes: £15

WHAT TO WEARWe will need to be able to look at the affected area and assess your movement, so shorts and a singlet top (for the ladies) are ideal. For the assessment a standard bra is preferable over a sports bra as it allows for better visibility of the upper back and spine
